In 2013, after our first mission trip to Ecuador in 2011, we set up a line item in our budget to help support children in Santos Pamba, Ecuador to be able to get a good education. At that time there were 50 students enrolled at Alberto Benjamin Simpson School, as of now there are only 30 students enrolled and 5 others have requested applications. The government of Ecuador has mandated minimum teacher salaries and new administrative requirements for all Christian schools and has forced many of these schools to close. Alberto Benjamin Simpson School is in danger of having to close due to funding problems.

Our Short Term Missionary, Gary Meier has developed a “Support-A-Student” sponsorship program. For $25 a month, you can provide the following:

Basic elementary education & Christian education
Hot meal each day
School uniforms
School supplies
Basic information about hygiene & social skills

Nelson Mandela wrote that “education is the most powerful weapon we can use to change the world.” Obviously the key to eternal life for these children in Jesus, but the key to a better life in this world is an education. The Alberto Benjamin Simpson Christian School provides both!

Please prayerfully consider sponsoring a child at the Santos Pamba School for $25 a month (less than the price of a fast food meal for your family). All contributions are fully tax de-ductible. There are several ways you can participate in the S-A-S sponsorship program. You can send a monthly check or set up an automatic bill pay from your checking account paid directly to: Palm Ministries, PO Box 1971, Melrose, Fl 32666. Please write Santos Pamba School in the memo section of the check. You can also give your contribution through the church. Just direct it to the Santos Pamba Scholarship Fund. And if you are not able to give support at the $25 level, give what you can when you can to the fund. And the students and staff of the Alberto Benjamin Simpson Christian School thank you in advance.
