The Stewardship Ministry increases awareness and understanding of Christian stewardship as a faithful response to the gospel and the call of each follower of Jesus to share his/her time, talents and resources for the mission and ministry of the congregation.

Emmanuel’s current stewardship team met for the first time in June 2012. Our goal was to explore various ways to increase our stewardship of Gods gifts. This includes the gift of our talents and time, as well as treasures. Starting in August 2012, we began a three year program of Biblical teaching and information on being good stewards. This program that includes an article in the newsletter, a monthly reading during the church service and a bible verse in the bulletins. There is also a, once a month, a lesson for our Sunday School. During November there are additional readings and faith promise cards and letters sent to your home.

We can all help by examining how we are using and honoring God with our gifts. Do we give back to Him what we have left at end of the month or do we give Him of the “best fruits”? You can also volunteer to read the monthly Stewardship reading by talking to Pastor, Vince or Cam. If you feel God is calling you to join one of Emmanuel’s ministry teams please feel free to explore our Stewardship Team. We would love to have you join us.
